Children from 5 years plus will improve their dexterous skills whilst constructing fun three dimensional characters and animals using the Hama Press System. This system is based on placing 5mm Hama Midi Beads, by hand or with a special pen, on to a board with chunky pegs on one or both sides. The finished characters can be firmly positioned on to stands to make them upright, and will not require any ironing to fix the beads in place.

The Press System is unique in several ways; first, it takes the ironing out of  Hama and as all parents know, that can only enhance these long standing pattern bead favourites. Now you can take away Hama Beads on holiday, whether on the plane or in a tent and let them get on with creating their own little world. Use the special pen (also handy for regular beading) to push the beads into the special press pegboards and away they go.

Second, the Press System has a brilliant option in the cut-able rectangle pegboards. Use the single or double sided boards, cut to your own requirements using just ordinary scissors, to make scenery or special characters with your beads. need a monster? You can make him. Want to construct an amazing 3D Nativity Scene for Christmas? Easy as anything. Whether it is a line up of racing cars on the mantelpiece or a street of houses for your play people to pose with, the cutting boards are perfect for it.

The small Jewellery Pendants have plenty of exciting uses too. Threaded together with Miss Hama Pony beads they’ll make fabulous garlands and necklaces, but why not adorn the Christmas tree with them, or hang the butterflies in your window, on your garden fence or around your bed room. The Hama Press System is available as sets which include the boards with pre-outlined designs and midi beads. Alternatively, boards and beads can be purchased separately to allow children to create their own imaginative designs and make their own choice in bead colours. Please note, the boards are intended to be single use boards. The beads can be prised back off the pegs, but this will be a bit time consuming. However, the finished articles make great permanent play pieces and decorations.
