We’ve added a new page of designs, as well as doing more housework on this site. There is now a page full of Hama Bead African Animal Designs to get you started on Hama Beading – lots more designs for these pegboards can be found in the Hama Bead Inspiration books and pegboards and beads are also available to buy from CraftMerrily.
Midi Hama Bead Lion
We’ve been doing some work on the Hama Bead selection over at CraftMerrily (500 products in just the Hama Section, it was time for a tidy up!!!) and while hunting through the old image CDs, we came across some favourites from long forgotten kits. While we love the current selection of gift boxes, including the Fashion Girls, we do remember the old Cool Girls, Party Girls, Hot Shots and Butterfly Girl kits with a certain affection.
Since they’ve long passed into the Hama Archive, I think it would be okay to put these patterns up here for you to print out. We’ve collected them all together on a pattern page for you to enjoy. For an up to date twist on the theme, you could adapt the patterns for the Teenage Pegboard.
We’ve been working hard on getting our Hama Beads section on the new CraftMerrily as nice and tidy as it was on the old BeadMerrily – all that virtual housekeeping has taken some time!

For a long time, BeadMerrily was a Hama Bead shop, with as much information and resources as we found the time to add to it. Recently, we upgraded the shop to something newer and fresher and more able to cope with the internet as it is today and all the new products we enjoy selling. CraftMerrily, our newest website, is now home to the retail life that BeadMerrily once was.
But that leaves us with the opportunity to do something new with this website – and we want to get back to offering you lots of extra value with our favourite product – Hama Beads. And so we are recreating BeadMerrily as a pattern and resources website. We hope you’ll support us by joining the Flickr Group, showing us what you make and also, we hope, continuing to buy your beads from our family business over at CraftMerrily.
Please bear with us while we get the site set up and start by enjoying the reorganised patterns and ideas we’ve uploaded to Flickr. It might take us a few weeks but we have big plans for this new free Hama Bead Resource site!
